TCI Insider · Atlas Series
Every restaurant in the Turks and Caicos that has published a position for the 2026 low season, mapped day by day. For anyone who lives here, and anyone on their way.
Start here
Pick a day, or a run of days. Works the same whether you are deciding on dinner tonight or planning a week ahead. Everything further down the page follows the date you set here.
The season in four numbers
The island does not shut. Twenty six venues close for part of the season, and nineteen also take a fixed day off each week. Both are counted in every figure on this page.
What thins out first
Ordered by the share of each category still trading on the selected date, and the order moves as you do. Two things hold across the whole season: every bar stays open, and the local kitchens and cafes stay close to full. The closures land on casual resort dining, fine dining and the Italians.
The same day, by area. Useful whether you are picking somewhere to eat tonight or somewhere to stay.
Weekly closing days
Nineteen venues take a fixed day off every week and thirteen of them take Sunday. That happens all year, not just in low season. Averaged across the whole period, this is how many are serving on each day of the week.
Closure calendar
Each bar is a published closure window, ordered by the date it starts. The teal line is your selected date. A bar that fades out has no announced reopening, a dashed outline means the closure was published as a whole month. Weekly closing days are not shown here, they appear in the day grid above.
The reopening wave
Reopening dates as published. Some venues list the last day closed rather than the first day back, so confirm the exact evening before booking.
Common questions
Some do. Of the 63 venues tracked here, 26 published a closure for 2026 and 37 trade straight through. Counting weekly closing days as well, 47 are serving on Tuesday 1 September, and 35 even at the lowest point of the season.
8 to 14 September 2026, averaging just over 40 venues open. The single lowest day of the season is Sunday 20 September at 35, because the seasonal closures and the weekly Sunday closures land together.
In waves through October. The largest single reopening is 1 October, when five venues return at once. By Thursday 15 October the count is back to 56. Opus is the only venue with no announced return date.
My Dee's trades throughout. Barracuda Beach Bar and Cilantro's, both at Whitby, are closed until mid October. Worth checking before you get on the ferry.
Sunday. Thirteen venues close every Sunday regardless of season, including Le Bouchon, Terra Mar, Embers, Baci and the Turks Head Taproom. Across the whole period a Sunday averages 45 open against 56 on a Friday.
Yes. Fewer kitchens open means the ones that are open get busier, particularly the fine dining rooms. Call to confirm as well, because these dates move.
Method and provenance
Eight items worth a phone call. Everything else on the page stands on its own.
Salt Ranger Inn. The Grand Turk entry trades as the Reef Bar and Grill at the Salt Raker Inn on Duke Street. Worth correcting the spelling before publication.
Opus. Reopening still to be announced. A single call turns the faded bar into a real date.
Baci and The Farm. October only, no dates given.
Bar service at #19. Kitchen closed 7 to 27 September, bar trading throughout. Confirm whether food continues at the bar.
Three areas still missing. Kin Khao, Mango Reef and My Dee's carry no settlement on their listing record. Everything else is now placed.
#19 Kitchen. The closest listing match is the restaurant at the Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club. Confirm it is the same venue before the golf club name goes on the page.
Top O' The Cove. The listing record places it at Cooper Jack rather than Turtle Cove, which does not match the name. Worth settling which is right.
Reopening convention. Whether the published end date is the last dark day or the first day back varies by venue.
With thanks
None of this exists without Shannon Myers of SharkBite, who has kept track of who is open and who is closed for years, and shared it freely with the community every season. Every closure date on this page comes from that list.
All I have done is put it on a page you can search. If you spot something out of date, tell Shannon, and tell me and I will update it here.
